The definition provided says noblesse oblige is “the obligation of honorable, generous, and responsible behavior associated with high rank or birth.” The direct translation from French is “noble obligation.” The spiritual inclinations of my thoughts being enhanced by the calm of the Sabbath peace immediately brought to mind the Christian aspect of this phrase The full article can be found here.



My Favorite Day ~ The Most Favored Day



2 does in the edge of the woods As the sun descends behind the horizon closing out the week, peace settles into my soul nestling in like a sparrow hen fluffing her feathers around her brood. Just then, reflections of the week attempt to peek into my mind momentarily but are quickly brushed aside as the mercy of God welcomes me back to tranquility. My wife and I sit side by side on a bench at the edge of the yard. Her hand feels comfortable in mine, and I can feel her calmness. A few deer are grazing the tall grass just outside the yard. A young doe stops momentarily raising her head to look around her whiskers shining softly in the last golden rays of the day. My wife and I continue talking praising God and His wonderful works which He has created for our enjoyment. The doe bows her head and resumes her meandering feast. The Sabbath has begun.
